I enjoy travelling and taking photos, usually at the same time.

Cameras

If you care about camera tech stuff, most of the photos on my Flickr space are taken with a Nikon D50 with a Tamron Di II 18-200mm lens. A few were taken with the standard kit lens, but not many.

In March 2011 I switched to a D7000 mostly, with the same Tamron lens.

I've also got a Nikon 50mm f/1.8 lens and recently a 35mm too. They are both nice lenses.

For some of the newer motorsport stuff I've got a Nikon 70-300mm VR lens which is ace for this kind of thing. Most of the action shots in this set are taken with it.

If I didn't have a camera with me I've used my camera phone. Old ones with a w800i or P1i, newer ones with a 5800 or a Samsung Galaxy Ace.

I've also got a No 2. Hawkeye Model 2 C box camera which takes lovely photos

GPS Stuff

In May 2007 I got a rather cool Sony GPS-CS1 which logs your GPS position and then matches up the time / GPS logs with the photographs you took. It works with any digital camera so I try to machine tag my photos rather than do it by hand as I've done with my older ones. Most photos from May 2007 onwards should be pretty accurate.
