I enjoy taking pictures of a variety of subjects, always trying to balance the light, the composition, and something interesting. Being an avid outdoorsman, the thrill has never diminished to explore remote landscapes in the search of photographic opportunities. From early childhood I’ve always enjoyed being out in severe weather, so you will find many of my photographs attempt to portray the weather conditions that I experienced. When people are headed indoors, I’m generally headed out. For many years I was primarily a landscape photographer, but since retiring in 2017, I've greatly expanded my interests and techniques.

I have resided in Albuquerque, New Mexico for many years. Retiring from Sandia National Laboratories has allowed me to spend a great deal of time pursuing photography. Most of the pictures included in my Gallery were shot after retirement. The ability to travel at a more leisurely pace, wander about the countryside, and not have to adhere to a strict schedule has been greatly appreciated.
