Since I was little I have always needed to make and create things. I like using different kinds of materials and seeing how I can make these work together in interesting ways. I started off drawing in pencil, charcoal and pastels then moved on to painting with acrylic and adding mixed media to the compositions. After completing my degree in Drama and Theatre Studies where I specialized in Set design; I used some of my new skills to design and make the train cupboard for my sons bedroom. It was then that I also made some quirky 3D clocks and mirrors in papier mache;.a few pieces were stocked and sold in a shop called Papier Marche on the South Bank in London UK. . After having a family and later renovating a house in Spain, I providentially discovered the pleasure of mosaic after making a rather free-form lizard out of found tile shards and pieces of ceramic for our Spanish courtyard. My most recent art has gone full circle as I am making art from paper I have printed myself on a gel press. Watch this space for more to come.
