Drag to set position!
Well, perhaps it's time a told you a little something about myself. I orginally created a flickr account so I could comment on some photos. I never thought I'd actually upload anything. Well, I did and them someone I didn't know commented. I was sure surprised. Then the photo was invited to a group. I had no idea about groups. What a whole different world that is. Well, as you can tell, I enjoy posting. I'm obviously a novice but so are many of the people here. The one thing I immediately learned is that I'm pretty mediocre. I sure enjoy looking at all the talented work that's posted.
One thing about me is that I have a medical condition which makes it very difficult to sit for any length of time. I now have an iPad which I use to upload my photos on. For some reason, I cannot copy many of the comment codes on my iPad so I can only post to a couple of groups when I use it. I get on my desktop 2-3 times per week when I do the majority of posting in groups. As a result, I'm sometimes slower than I'd like to be in responding to comments/invites. I also do no editing of my photos except to crop them the way I perceive enhances them. I cannot sit long enough to use any photo editing software so what you see it what I got.
If you checked my photostream already you know I love to shoot flowers and cats. Emma was mine and we rescued her from our local Humane Society. We had to put her down about a year ago. She had a brain tumor and we have not been able to bring ourselves to adopt another. The others I photograph all live in the neighborhood and I catsit most of them. Actually, we now do have another. He is a Siamese and his name is Gus. He sleeps with me but hates to be picked up but loves to cuddle on his terms. I love him.
Just a quick update. I now have an implanted pain pump. Sitting is still extremely painful but I can now walk without pain. I wish I could do more on Flickr but I cannot. I do enjoy looking at all the photos, though and I have learned a lot.
Thank you for visiting my page. If you are one of the people who respond/comment on my photographs, I thank you. I always welcome constructive criticism. Just keep in mind that I am limited by both my physical limitations and my camera.
On, and FYI, College Place is adjacent to Walla Walla, WA. We are so close that I walk there most morning for coffee. I really do not know why they do not annex the two communities. So, I am sure more of you have heard of Walla Walla so that gives you a reference for where I really am. I NO longer live in College Place. I now reside in the town where my pain pump was implanted so I don't have to travel to the town and back every 55-56 days. The move has been difficult but it is what is is. I live life the best I am able.
Thanks for checking out my profile. My friends on Flickr are the best!
