Hi, I’m Alison, and I founded Alison Kelley Designs in January 2007. I have been making jewelry for over 20 years, and with the support and encouragement of my family and friends, I turned one of my life’s passions into a business.

I was born on the island of Malta located in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea. When I was six years old my immediate family and I moved to beautiful San Jose, California and recently I moved to Castle Rock, Colorado. My passion for jewelry began as a child. I remember rummaging through my mother’s jewelry box for hours at a time. She was always close by and with each piece I pulled out she had a story to tell. In my homeland, it is customary to give jewelry to commemorate special occasions. Even after leaving I continued to receive jewelry as gifts from family. These pieces still spark memories and have great meaning to me.

I have always been creative, but jewelry-making captured my heart and is my creative and therapeutic outlet. As a self-taught jewelry artisan, I love experimenting with materials, shapes, and textures. I love learning new ways to expand my jewelry-making skills. Color is everything to me and I continuously add new colors to my jewelry designs. When it comes to color, you could say I like the whole box of crayons!

It is very fulfilling to know that my wares are given as gifts or that someday they may be passed down; this fuels my desire to create. My goal is to offer you beautiful handcrafted pieces of jewelry that are unique as they are beautiful.
