Being the technical type, I had never thought about it that way before, but once she said that, I knew that I had been missing a key concept in photography: shooting what you feel. I suspect I could learn a lot from Alison.

Alison has a thoughtful approach to photography, which is usually far too deep for my shallow mind. She is one of the few photographers I know that has actually read her manual from cover to cover and highlighted improper use of the English language, which says a lot about her photography. Being British, she has a masterfully dry sense of humor, which is astounding considering how wet she keeps her whistle.
