Describe myself? The autobiographical snippet is absolutely my worst genre. How about "gobsmacked"?

Will that do?

I will say that flickr has been enormous fun, and more interesting and strangely...heartening than i ever would have expected. I remember when H. Champ started boosting this "flickr" place on her photo site, and i thought "ha! that will never take off." Well, i'm pleased to have been so wrong. What a world full of inspiring shutterbugs.

I am a low-fi techie still in love with the analog world: I have a digital point-and-shoot mini thingo, a Lomo I adore, a really clapped-out Diana held together with electrical tape, a Holga I never use, a sweet old Duaflex i TTV with, and am now cruelly separated from the Nikon F that won my heart to picture-taking.

I like light. Color is good. When i was younger and (more) callow i used to live by Nietzsche's gambit that "human existence may be justified only as an aesthetic phenomenon". Just how sophmoric is that?? But i really believed it. Sometimes I still do.

Oh, and all images in my stream are copyRIGHT(ed). If you would like to share my work/photos with others, please ask me before posting on your blog or on a forum or somesuch.

Ok, that's it!
