When I opened my Flickr account ages ago, I thought I don't have any photos to put on it. But I realized, that hey yes I do. In fact, I have some pictures. As a webmaster for 15 years, I've taken quite a few pictures for DataScouts and EarthWINS, my website companies in Shawano, Wisconsin. All my pictures were taken with a Yashica Microtek 70, a disposable camera, or my good old HP Scanner.
A scanner?! you say? Well yes. Almost anything flat will scan. In my quest to make unique graphics for websites I've taken pictures of or scanned cards, posters, bumper stickers, plaques, plates, buttons, menus, towels, wallpaper, seeds, wood, leather, fur, deerskin, tree bark and more. They all make interesting photographic art.
I am very concerned about bees. They are under great stress from pesticides, habitat depletion, disease, mites and other stresses. I've started a website, NetworkBees dedicated to helping bees. One of the projects of that site is "Photos of Plants Good for Bees". The goal of the project is to make collections of bee-friendly photos for all ecoregions in the continental United States. People who plant bee-friendly gardens and trees will be able to see what the plants look like.
