"Thank you, fellow Flickr wanderer, for stopping by....
...Being situated in the 'City That Never Sleeps', I try to convert life's everyday mundane fragments, caught through camera's viewfinder, into (hopefully) eye-catching lasting memories...
In parallel to having been involved in various creative realms (studio recording, performing, etc.), I’ve also expanded my creative endeavors into photography, which I’ve been involved with for the past 15 years.
Each photo I chose to share with you here has been carefully selected and post-processed.
I never use S.O.C. (straight out of camera) photos, like many other photographers here prefer, instead aiming for quality rather than quantity, as there’s always something each and every photo can greatly benefit from some type of improvement. I may spend hours on a single photo, as I thoroughly enjoy the process until the final result begins to look like what I originally had in mind when I took that shot.
Here you won't find images of tall skyscrapers or cold architectural designs -- there are plenty of other great photographers who specialize in those. With the exception of one of the largest US not-for-profit yearly Mermaid Parade, with its abundance of colorful characters and fashions, and some occasional & rather unexpected commemoration of a human form, I generally seek to capture more toned-down themes with minimal human presence.
Despite living in the world's biggest megalopolis, I nevertheless strive to capture few remaining 'islands' of serene and peaceful beauty, untouched (or missed?) by over-population & modern technological progress, while attempting to give finished photos somewhat of a romantic and occasionally dreamy/nostalgic/by-gone-era feel, so scarce in this day and age.
I've been enjoying the artistic process of creating each and every photo, so in turn I hope you’ll find something to your liking or what will simply resonate with your inner self, as that was my original intent...”
