The canned bio (I hate these things): Alex has a sensitive eye for the flora and fauna of the Big Apple.

As a consummate lover of people and their stories, he is able to bring interest to the most mundane experiences of living. Alex started out life in Romania and came to the States at an early age and has been here ever since. He went to school for luxury hotel management which gave him his eagle eye for people (and food). He is now a confirmed Manhattanite, possessed of a shrewd yet compassionate outsider perspective on contemporary society. He loves observing movement.

As a photographer he combines the art of storytelling with the quickness of the moment. Searching for an immediate and unique reaction from models, trying to capture the often-unnoticed juncture. In gallery work he produces large installments, often combining photomontages with text. Fascinated by the way series of photos come together.

He’s actively building his book. Alex Geana hates writing about himself in the third person. People tell him he has good hair.
