Hello, I am Alex With Camera, a Fine Art conceptual photographer based in Italy.

After twenty-five years dedicated to digital communication, I chose to re-establish my photographic practice, embarking on aesthetic research that has now reached a new level of expressive maturity.

My perspective was shaped by years of professional collaboration with exceptional image professionals, allowing me to master their technique and visual storytelling.

Alongside my photography, I am an active composer under various aliases, creating soundtracks for art installations, literary projects, and experimental films.

My photography is an act of silent resistance against the constant hum of modern media consumption. In antithesis to over-stimulation, my choice is based on subtraction: an attempt to filter out noise to isolate fragments of an unseen reality. At the heart of my work is the "geography of the everyday"—a slow approach where the limited horizon of the province is not a constraint, but a creative focal point and the very core of my creative impulse. This philosophy is reflected in my process: I use vintage lenses on early digital cameras to embrace optical imperfections, seeking pictorial suggestions over extreme sharpness.

My stage is a borderland where ancient villages coexist with man-made scars and the decay of modernity. Human presence is often implied, de-centered to let the context reveal its cumbersome footprint. When figures reappear, they do so in a cinematic change—archetypes crossing a suspended time.

This vision is deeply influenced by the suspended silence of Wim Wenders, the psychological depth of David Lynch, and Luigi Ghirri’s poetic gaze on the Italian landscape.
