Alex Stenzel is a polymath, multi-athlete and visionary: former renowned fashion-designer, artist, designer, philosopher, athlete, yogi, conceptual architect and father.
He had world rankings in tennis, mountain-biking and triathlon (1986 Ironman Hawaii). He is an expert skier, barefoot-skier, climber, surfer, windsurfer, trail-runner, yogi and skateboarder. He has learned 44 athletic disciplines altogether. He owns over two dozens of patents, invented the Gorilla Sandwich (raw-food) and the Twisted-Tower, which inspired the Freedom Tower (One World Trade Center), in New York.
He was at the forefront of the antiaging movement in the early 90s, in Los Angeles.
In 1990 he meditated in a mind-gym in Hollywood, floated in a sensory deprivation tank, and wore David Paradise’s (Dave Siever) visual entrainment glasses, along with a headphone, laying on a vibroacoustic bed, all devices tuned alternatively to Alpha, Gamma, or Theta wave-frequencies, for heighted awareness, meditation or sleep.
Alex Stenzel experimented with various psychoactive substances, smart-drugs, herbs, food-supplements and superfoods, and engaged much in tantric abstinence, cultivating his sexual desires and drive throughout his life for creative purposes and enlightenment. “I think with my abs”, he says, “my stomach and heart. My brain does the processing but doesn’t know anything, before I know it intuitively, before I can think of it.
He has traveled to 50 countries, meditated, prayed and chanted, along the walls of the Great Zimbabwe, in Africa, on top of the Temple of the Great Jaguar, in Tikal, Guatemala, between the ruins of Pulemelei Mound, on Savai'i Island, in Samoa, upon the zen-gardens of the Katsura Villa, in Kyoto, and other temples and gardens in Japan, and walked the Songlines of the Aranda people in Central Australia, around the Uluru and Kata Tjuṯa (Olgas).
He was initiated and has been awoken, in spring of 2000, in unification with the universal nondual Guru, (God) at Ellery Creek Big Hole, in the West MacDonnell Range, of Northern Territory of Australia.
Alex Stenzel also skied, surfed and played tennis all over the world.
He is the father of one 12-year-old daughter, who he teaches all he knows, but most importantly how to know God and pray.
He is single and never was married.
For six years now, he has been living in creative solitude, in the Eastern Sierra of California where he reflects upon nature, God and spirit and writes about it.
His new understanding of time and space and the origin of knowledge as such derives largely from his overpainted photographs (Fraktalbilder).
He thinks of his paintings as gateways where one can perceive the substance of time and space before it manifests itself in matter and form, words, concepts, numbers, semantic syntax, logic and empirical observations of nature and rational thoughts of mind.
He hasn’t had any further existential, scientific and spiritual questions for several years now, and recently started to share his knowledge publicly.
“I know everything”, he says, “not in detail but as it originates in all things and constitute all things and beings and things as beings, in essence of their eternal nature wanting to be beautiful as their cause and purpose which unifies everything as constructs of time and space, as our nervous system renders it into objects, not into mere things but living beings”.
For the last two years, Alex Stenzel, at age 61, has managed as the first human to live on a 48-hour-day, wake and sleep cycle.
In culmination of his ascetic and aesthetic disciplines and life efforts he has evolved to live constructively and productively on a two-day cycle, being awake for up to 32 hours, researching and writing for 12 hours, working out, doing yoga, meditation and self-massage for 8 hours, including regular early morning 20-minute cold showers, and eating only one real meal every 48 hours.
"Nothing belongs to me, I reside in eternity, with nowhere to go and nowhere to be. Thank you God!"
