Greetings and thanks for visiting!

First of all, I am not a professional photographer. I'm just an amateur who loves photographing nature following these words by Marcel Proust:

- "The real journey of the discoveries is not to seek new landscapes, but to have new eyes".

Why do I take photographs?

Because every 'click' is a "thank you" for being here, for being able to see the golden light of twilight, for appreciating the vastness of the oceans, and for still having curious eyes that seek out the smallest of creatures. It is my personal tribute to existence.

Photography is my embrace of the world. It is the way I have found - now, at the age of 80 - to say that I remain in love with everything I see.

I started in 1958 when my grandfather gave me an Agfa camera and photography became my celebration of life. It is my personal tribute to existence.

In the late 1960s, I bought a Nikon F Photomic FTN, a Nikkormat FTN and 3 Vivitar lenses. They were my first steps in the 35mm world. In 1972 I did several months of training in photojournalism and laboratory with the excellent photographers from Editora Bloch, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to enable me to photograph and record aircraft landings and takeoffs on aircraft carriers.

I stopped shooting with film around 1999. For a few years, I practised digital photography with full-frame cameras. I currently use only APS-C digital cameras, such as the Canon 80D with Canons MP-E 65mm, 100mm, 17-40mm, 400mm and 150mm Sigma lenses. For other styles of photography, I use Fujifilm Series X, and some Fujinon lenses.

My everyday camera, since the early days of August 2026, is the OM System TG-7. An amazing photographic tool!

Currently, given my age, I'm thinking about reducing the weight of my equipment. I might switch to the highly regarded OM System.

I always shoot in RAW. Sure, I used Photoshop, Lightroom, and Capture One for many years. Currently, I prefer DXO Pure RAW and Exposure. Sometimes I need the magnificent technology of RAWTherapee.
