I’ll be on here only sporadically for an undetermined period (12/15/2025).
Primarily photojournalism and street photography. I’ve been a social justice and human rights activist since the sixties, from the civil rights movement, the anti-Vietnam war movement, supporting the women’s liberation, pro choice, lgbt+ and labor movements, against the invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968 and Ukraine now, supporting the Palestinian cause, and more over the years.
Along the way I have taken photographs of demonstrations, strikes and other actions of people struggling for a better world and written about those struggles, helping to publicize the struggles with photographs. I have been mostly uploading some of my old demo photos and others that I have taken over time.
I have collected found photos, mainly snapshots, for years. I find them fascinating and will be uploading some of those over time too.
I also have had a long time interest in tribal and folk art, especially textiles. Also Japanese and East Asian art, since I was a child in Japan after WW II, and plan also to eventually add some photos on these subjects.

Just an addendum: I realize my found photos are taking over my feed. It makes sense since I have an order of magnitude more found photos I have collected than demo or other photos I’ve taken. You can still find demo and other photos by looking at my albums though, and I will be adding more demo photos and random snaps I’ve taken.
