How I got into photography... I bought an entry level Canon DSLR in 2017 to make a promo video for my music production studio business. My career as an international DJ was winding down and I suddenly found myself creatively empty, especially on weekends when I'd usually be on the road playing my music to crowds across the globe. The studio promo video came out great and during that process I felt a similar curiosity and joy similar to when I started to learn how to produce music. I think it was partly the tactile fun of learning to use the gear, partly the techniques, rules and tricks of photography and overall the creative outlet I'd missed from my younger days in my previous creative career as a musician. I still work full-time producing music, but my passion for photography has given me a new creative lease of life, obsessed might be a more accurate description!
