At college I was told by my photography tutor I was "Shit" so for years I focused on marketing and then branding and design. Then 15 years or so later I realised I never spent any time on my own, so purchased a camera for landscapes. a couple of years later and I've upgraded my equipment, added primes lenses to my armoury and gained so much confidence. Word got around due to my design agency contacts and before I knew it I was getting hired for commercial work. The biggest thing I've learned is effort, caring and being prepared means so much more to my customers than having thousands of pounds worth of equipment.
