Alexandria Division is part of the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps. The Division was formed in 1998 and originally named the Flying Midshipman Training Air Wing and re-flagged in July 2006 as Alexandria Division. Commanded by Lieutenant Commander Vinson F. Nash, NSCC, Alexandria Division is one of five units in the National Capital Region and is co-located with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 23 at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

The Naval Sea Cadets is a nation-wide, Navy-based organization founded in 1958 that serves to teach young persons 13 to 18 years-old about the sea-going military services, community service, citizenship, and an understanding of discipline and teamwork.
