I'm an artist, mother, gardener, scrappy musician, and cook. I grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, went to school in Chicago and Boston, where I met my husband at Mass. College of Art. We lived in Minneapolis for 8 years making art and music together, then moved up to northern Wisconsin on Lake Superior to start a family. Now we live in Iowa City with our two children.

My paintings are an expression of the joy and energy I feel in the environments where I have worked and played all my life. Having small children has forced me to broaden my idea of what I consider finished work, so I find creative outlets in growing vegetables and making meals and playing music as well as painting.
