Freelance photographer

Swiss photographer Alessandra Meniconzi is fascinated by the lives and traditions of indigenous people in remote regions of the world. Her work focused on the ancient heritage, customs, spirituality, and daily life of native people who are strongly connected to the land and whose traditional cultures are vanishing due to pressure from the modern world. Her images also express her love of wilderness. After many years of working in Asia, she traveled in Iceland and became interested in the Arctic. Her photographs have been published in magazines such as Animan and Terra, and in cards and calendars. She is the sole photographer for the books Hidden China (2008), Mystic Iceland (2007), and The Silk Road (2004), and she is currently working on the new books about Tibet and Arctic.

Most pictures are taken with CANON EOS 1N and Ektacrome 100VS slides, now I work with CANON EOS 1Ds Mark III. I have several Canon lens and several photobags LOWEPRO. The Tripod is important as the camera! Never I forget it!!!
