Karen of Mimique D is an experienced & polished designer delivering visual communication & creative solutions from concept to reality. Graduating many moons ago!...she has worked in various kaleidoscopic fields of design for over 25 years throughout London, Surrey, UK & South Africa.

 

She welcomes enquiries from corporate clients, agencies & private commissions, undertaking bespoke assignments ensuring exclusivity to the individual client requiring unique, original, creative imagery.

 

 

Mimique Digital: The Person Behind...

 

Having worked to near exhaustion full-time (& seemingly endless laborious hours of overtime) from degree completion until 2005 in a quixotic blend of design disciplines, my life changed somewhat in 2005 after being diagnosed with cancer. Thereafter my perspectives shifted, undulated & were under constant & rather harsh self-scrutiny: I needed to change my punishing lifestyle.

 

I now work freelance & am emerging this year into a difficult field, however, the hours are kindly more flexible (yet may be arduously lengthy also), I am as industrious & diligent as before but also force myself to stop from time to time to appreciate life, nature, the beauty of characters around me & explore other areas of design which embrace my creative passions.

 

I may be a prolific scribe at times, sometimes mute & simply watching with rapt wonder, other times my ear glued to the phone & under duress from a client :D however, I welcome all who take time to linger awhile & view the small samples of my work here....it gives me immense pleasure to bring a smile to others through my art.
