I block people I find have favorited one of my photos on the same day as they've favorited dozens of others, especially if they've got thousands of contacts.

I only follow as many people as I can comfortably cope with looking at all their new photos. I sometimes stop following people when I feel like a change.

What I've learned about photography:

Do your own thing even if only you like it

Don't leave the camera permanently on auto white balance

Lighting is as important as subject matter

Occasionally use spot metering for more drama

Action is difficult

Composition is difficult

Buy a good camera; all the skill in the world can't make up for poor image quality

Selfies should be quirky and infrequent

Big cameras are a pain to carry around

Don't leave your camera unattended

Having a few cameras you swap between can stop you getting stale

Experiment with camera settings; it's how you learn what does and doesn't work
