I first became interested in photography at about the age of 16, when I left school. I remember owning a Pentax K1000, and then a Minolta x700 (an amazing camera at the time, I thought).

In the late 80's, I'd advanced to a Bronica ETRS medium format camera, and was developing my photos at home in a darkroom I'd built in the loft. During the 90's I fell out of love with photography a bit, through moving home I lost my darkroom, and no longer had room for one.

In the early 00's I owned a Fuji 6900 Zoom, a great enthusiasts camera, but like all non-SLR digital cameras, had a major problem with shutter-lag, although it produced some great pictures.

Since 2004 I've used a Nikon D70s, and use Sigma 10-20mm, Nikon 18-70mm and Nikon 70-300mm lenses. At the beginning of February this year I replaced the D70s (which I've had converted for IR use) with the new Nikon D300. Just recently I've also added a Nikon 18-200mm and the amazing 70-200mm f2.8.

Although I've been taking photographs for quite a few years, I'm still learning, and I'm enjoying looking at all your photos on Flickr.
