in 2013 I decided to upgrade my photography credential from 'considered point and shoot' to amateur enthusiast. This was facilitated by introducing myself to the bridge camera world by route of the awesome Sony NEX mirrorless interchangeable system. Landscape easily fell within the reach of this system but I caught the wildlife photography bug and after stretching the kit with extenders and teleconverters I quickly realised the importance of fast glass and AF speed. I'm now developing with the Canon EOS system and the technically brilliant 70-200 f2.8 USM III L lens on my sturdy EOS 70D. I am fortunate enough to have the Ashridge estate nearby as my local visual playground where I can be seen ( or not ) in full camouflage gear romping through the woods. Joining Flickr and linking this to Lightroom has accelerated my exposure to the wonderful photographic community.
