Life as I see it.

I'm a busy as mother of three wild young boys. I am also employed as a civil engineer (bridge design), crunching numbers for most of my days. Yet my passion is moving more and more towards the arts. Writing, photography, sketching, and painting. So when I have free time (say between 10 or 11 at night into the wee hours of the morning) these are the things I spend my precious time on.

Come see my world!

If you like mind benders and puzzles I ran a group with visual puzzles for awhile on here. I quit maintaining it some time ago, but you can still have fun browsing there

Gaila builds bridges. During the working hours she builds bridges of steel and concrete. In her leisure time she builds the bridges that bring people together. In Flickr she posts some incredible photos, some snapshots of her family and friends and some very strange photos that she asks us to identify. She started and administers a Flickr Group, Are You Game where she and others post these unidentified, sometimes flying, objects. When I or someone else posts to this group she is usually the first to figure out what the picture is. She has a personal blog on Yahoo360 where she writes amusing and profound insights into her expansive brain. She challenges us with thought provoking scenarios and questions about them. Besides photography and writing, she paints, not so much what she sees but what she feels. Her paintings, like many of her writings, have a dream like quality. Finally she builds bridges that her family and friends can feel secure on. She reaches out to us. You can tell that the people on her Flickr contact list and those that visit her blog adore her wit and charm, her talents and energy. It is a pleasure to know Gaila, virtually, and I hope someday to meet her. I hope she won't be disappointed.
