Al Mustafa Welfare Trust
Drag to set position!
Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust International (AMWT) is a registered non-government organisation (NGO) working on a non-profit basis whose aim is to alleviate poverty and provide medical and social development assistance to the poor and vulnerable around the world.
There are millions of men, women and children across the globe that die from treatable diseases such as malaria, typhoid and cholera due to the lack of basic medical treatment; many young people have gone into the darkest phase of their life from drugs misuse; young and ambitious children are unable to realise their dreams due to abject poverty and lack of educational resources; many healthy young people end up taking their own lives as they lose hope and see no future due to their inability to find employment; there are many helpless young orphan women or daughters from poor families that remain unmarried because they are poor; millions of people do not even have access to clean drinking water.
In the West we take even the simplest thing such as clean drinking water, education or free medical care for granted. Our belief is that every human life is worth saving and every person has a right to have a roof over their head, free medical care, free education, 3 meals a day and free education. No matter what creed, colour, age or gender, everyone has a right to live and prosper, have the ability to fulfil their dreams and have hopes and aspirations. Rich or poor, all humans were created as equal and therefore all humans should be treated as equal. These are the values at the core of our work at AMWT.
Our journey began in November 1983 on a small scale by a group of highly motivated intellectuals, social workers, lawyers, doctors, engineers and business executives, who had the passion for philanthropy. In the last 28 years since our formation, AMWT has provided medical care, education assistance, food aid, poverty relief, famine relief and community development in disaster areas, war torn countries and many rural and poverty stricken areas of the world, serving millions of needy and helpless people living in abject poverty and squalid conditions.
AMWT started its operations in the UK in 2003. In a short space of time we have built our reputation and gained recognition by donors in the UK as a charity that is well structured, trust worthy and fully transparent.
