Akira is, for me, an inspiration. Maybe a teacher, as each picture seems as a teaching in the art of photography to me. I'm always awed by his work on colors and night photography. Framing, lighting, colors : everything oozes perfection with a touch of minimalism.
Akira is one of my favorite posters on flickr. His photos capture reality in such a sharp way, so much that they seem hyper-realistic and somewhat staged. His eye for color and composition is astounding, and the emotional range in his sets are unbelievable.
