I live in San Francisco.

All I'm trying to capture is my "highly privileged rapture".

"I think that while I hated being depressed and would hate to be depressed again, I've found a way to love my depression. I love it because it has forced me to find and cling to joy. I love it because each day I decide, sometimes gamely, and sometimes against the moment's reason, to cleave to the reasons for living. And that, I think, is a highly privileged rapture."

- Andrew Solomon

I'm chasing light, moments, and life with my camera.

"The eye doesn't see. The brain sees. The eye just transmits. So what we see isn't only determined by what comes through the eyes. What we see is affected by our memories, our feelings, and by what we've seen before."

Photography is to capture the image your mind saw, recreating image in your head into the digital format. What do you see when you see pictures on Flickr? I hope you can see the sparkling moments around me in my life.

I love film. The color we get from film is different from what digital image can do. We can manipulate digital images forever, but the beauty of analog world is something you can't recreate. I'm kind of old school, I guess.

Whatever you do, let others inspire you and not intimidate or shrink you.

We are all meant to shine like children.

We can see the world like children do, too.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your playing small doesn't serve the world.

There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,

we subconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we're liberated from our own fear,

our presence automatically liberates others."
