I'm from the Pittsburgh, Pa area and am basically self taught in photography. I started in the 70's, built a darkroom and was hooked from there. I went to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in the mid 80's and learned a few things thus acquiring my associate degree in photography/multi media.I worked with a few Pro's after I graduated then worked on my own in advertising for a few yrs. I was against digital when it first came out and unfortunately got away from photography for a long while. I have retired recently and decided to get back into it. I think once I learn this digital darkroom processing I'll be on my way again. I know one thing it sure cost a lot more money than it did back then.

I look forward to my new adventure and hopefully I can become like some of the many great photographers I've seen on here.
