I started taking photos about 1948 with an aunt's Kodak Box Brownie when I was a child in Scotland. In 1961 I emigrated to Canada and was a university teacher in Ottawa (philosophy and ancient Greek) until 1998. Many visits, often long, to Greece and Turkey from 1963. Since 2001 I have lived in Selimiye, a coastal village near Marmaris in south-west Turkey. In 2016 I decided that Selimiye had become too popular with Turkish tourists for me to tolerate living in the village during the summer. As of 2017, my summer residence is on Tilos island in Greece, which isn't far, by crow-fly or ferry, from Selimiye. So currently my winter base is Selimiye in Turkey and my summer base is Tilos in Greece.
