Ah, c'mon, Alan's nothing special. Shoots waaaaay too much stuff in bloody B&W as well. What's all the fuss about, I ask you? Of course, all of the above is me doing what Alan and I do to each other rather more often than not. Alan has the gift of "seeing the rays" when he is out in the forest or in an old abandoned building. We all know he carries a bag of vacuum cleaner dust around in his trunk, but still . . . . He has the patience that I will never personally know to make a forest scene come alive the way we perceive it as we stand in front of it. What else can you ask of a photographer?

I joined flickr on 2007, july, and alan is the very first person I met here .. I "happened" into his photostream and I was immediatly impressed by his beautiful windows and doors ... since then, I've discovered his world though his beautiful shots: nature, cities, markets, abandoned houses and sites, people .. alan "catches" beauty in different moments of every day with extreme elegance, intelligence, sensibility and intensity ... a visit to his photo collection is a sure pleasure and inspiration! great artist and very kind friend :-) r.
