To me, his ongoing work published on Flickr is the most comprehensive source of gorilla images from Dutch and German zoos and almost as good as visiting these zoos myself. So I would like to thank you for sharing your photos, Arjan, as well as for always providing accurate biographical information on the individuals in your captures. No doubt this means a lot of work and a lot of time spent on your computer, and I appreciate it a lot!

Arjan's photos are always high quality but even more important, they show love and feeling for animals, especially the gorillas. He is very patient and can wait for hours to take the right photograph. You can see that the animals notice him and are not stressed but look into the lense without fear. It's an amazing collection of gorillas, both in Holland and other zoos in Europe. Also other animals he has photographed with great interest and eye for perfection. A great achievement for which he should be congratulated.
