News and wordsmith type person--I have been in the photography end of many ventures. I love the play of light and texture on subjects. I love animals and get very excited over a good shot of a bird! I'm easy to please! A lot of my photos are scans from lives I have led over the last 50 years. I scarcely know the people in the photos, since the moment frozen in time is all I have left of most of them. But how fortunate to have that!

 

I use two digital cameras, a Pentax Optio 550 point and shoot, and a newly acquired Olympus EVOLT E330, the world's first DSLR with live thru the lens and thru the LCD screen view. After only a few days I know it will be the best camera I have ever owned, and I have owned about 10 good to great cameras--mostly film.

 

I catalog thousands of family-type photos which lend themselves well to Photoshop. Most of them were taken with 35mm slide film and needed a scanner to digitize.

 

I love Flickr. And I love the photos of the world available here. Sometimes I think the server runs HOT because of my constant addiction to the site.
