Hello and welcome to my little corner!
Photography is a hobby I took up after the birth of my two beautiful kids, to capture ‘the moments’. But then I soon realised taking pictures of the little nutters became almost impossible when they started running in the other direction soon as they spotted the camera in my hands. That's when I got into food photography, thanks to Thorsten, who I've known even before Flickr and has been my biggest inspiration. I've come across so many amazing photographers here in this wonderful world of Flickr who have inspired me to get out of my comfort zone and try something new.
It was soon after I'd taken up food photography that I got into baking. Baking time is my zone out time. Since we live in a boarding school, I have lots of students here who are willing to be my guinea pigs. I do have two left hands when it comes to decorating though.
I have realised food photography is very addictive, and annoying at times but certainly not as frustrating as taking pictures of kids! And, it's a very expensive hobby, that's for sure!
I really appreciate all of your comments. Over the years I've developed a thick skin so all constructive criticisms are always welcome! I still have loads to learn and find ways to improve...
Well, besides photography, I love listening to music! Alternative Rock and Indie. Top two on my bucket list: 1) Attend Snow Patrol concert and 2) See Coldplay live. Someday.
Chalk on a blackboard or writing with a fellt-tip marker on a cardboard bugs the h*ll out of me. I get the shudders just thinking about it.
