I don't think I'm a shutterbug, and have serious doubts I can be considered any kind of real photographer. I am, however, lucky enough to see a lot that's awesome and beautiful in my surroundings, and am obsessive enough to want to record every sight. So I wind up taking a lot of photographs and every now and then one of them has half a chance of doing justice to what I hoped to capture.

I try to avoid editing the photos beyond the occasional crop and exposure adjustment, and tend to use a few different cameras. Although my current favorite is the Canon G9, most random spontaneous snapshots (the vast majority of what I photograph falls under this category) are captured using a cell phone camera. That phone is typically an N95, an iPhone, or one of several android phones, all of which actually have decent cameras as far as cell-phones go. But as a shot is typically more reflective of the photographer than the camera, my results can be quite the chaotic mess ;)
