Anikki. I literally don’t know what to say about her, and maybe that’s why this has taken me so long. I found Anikki because of Allie Stoller, and I am inexplicably thankful to her. Anikki reached out to me when I was at one of the harshest points of my life, took me in, and told me the truth for once in my life. She destroyed the images I had made for myself and held onto for my entire life. She changed me, and I owe the person I am today, primarily to Anikki. That’s a true fact. My life, joy, and confidence are due to her. Anikki has become one of my closest friends, and is undoubtedly the most trustworthy person I know or ever plan to know. Anikki instills joy in my life, and conversations with her literally brighten my day. She’s kind, honest, hilarious, caring, brilliant, humble, patient, and loving. There are very few people in this world that are genuine. I mean, we all pretend to be, but that’s just what makes us all the more fake. Anikki doesn’t have absolutely everything. And she doesn’t pretend to. But she has what’s important, and she embraces that better than anyone I’ve ever known. She’s real about her pain, she’s real about her doubts, she’s real about her skepticism about the world, and she’s real about what’s going on in her head and in her heart. Anikki’s art is just that. It’s art. It’s beautiful. It’s self expression. It’s moving. It’s touching. It’s empathetic. It’s thought provoking. Her art is the essence of beauty. But even more than that, her personality, her wants, her needs, and her thoughts shine through it, making it tremendously personal I love you, Anikki. I want to know you and be friends with you for the rest of my life. I don’t know what I would do without you; you’ve changed my life.

This is a story about how I just realized I hadn't written you a testimonial and then spent ten minutes freaking out, trying to find you on flickr, but the search box wasn't working and you hadn't commented on Allie's photos lately, so I went back until I found one of you. And now I have found you. And now I must tell you how I feel about you. Anikki, I love you. Not in that kind of way. You're my little sister, and I don't believe in incest. But I love you because you're so talented and full of life and capture emotions (and beauty, if Morgan and your sister are any indication), and you edit so well that it makes me physically ill, because you greatly surpassed my editing abilities (AND STILL HAVE NOT TAUGHT ME HOW. THANKS A LOT. I THOUGHT I WAS YOUR BIG SISTER). And if I see you in March, I may die of happiness. Because I love you. And because you're so freaking talented. I mean, I have your artwork on my wall at home. And your name tattooed on my left buttcheek. Hahahahahaha. I love you.

Anikki's photos are brilliant. I want to favorite every single picture she takes, seriously. Not only are her photos too amazing to even say anything about them, she is a fabulous writter. I feel so much with whatever she does. She has so much talent, and she doesn't even know it. She is an inspiration and I admire her so awfully much. She is so easy to connect to. You feel like you know her by just looking at her stream. That really takes talent, in my book. I'm so extremely happy that I found her photostream. She is truly amazing.
