यहाँ मेरी कविताएँ हैं

 

यहाँ नदियाँ हैं

वो कहाँ कहाँ घूमती रहती हैं, मैं सोचा करता हूँ

 

यहाँ पेड़ हैं

पेड़, जो पृथ्वी के साथ साथ चलते हैं

और उससे आगे जाने की कोशिश नहीं करते

 

यहाँ मेरी धरती है।

 

यहाँ पहाड़ हैं

जो बची हुई नदियों और कुछ आख़िरी वृक्षों को गोद में लेकर बड़े धैर्य के साथ बैठे हैं

 

यहाँ मेरे गाय, हिरन, कुत्ते, बकरियाँ, चिड़िया और बंदर हैं

 

यहाँ वो सब है जो कोमल है, और जो मनुष्य की कठोरता के बावजूद बचा हुआ है

These are my poems.

 

You’ll meet rivers here. I often wonder where they come from and where they go.

 

You’ll meet trees here. These trees, they always walk with the earth. And they never try to leave her behind.

 

You’ll meet mountains here. They shelter in their laps the few remaining rivers and trees as they sit resolute and unmoving.

 

You’ll meet the earth here. The earth who, I don’t understand why, we seem not to love.

 

Cows, deer, dogs, goats, birds and monkeys.

 

Here you’ll find everything that is gentle, everything that has survived the abrasive harshness of man.
