Per me Vittorio è stato il primo amore quando sono arrivata su Flickr, in senso fotografico chiaramente, un intoccabile un vero maestro..... Oggi vorrei rubargli per un attimo gli occhi per poter vedere il suo mondo, i suoi colori, le sue nostalgie, il tutto attraverso la sua grande tecnica. Ha un archivio fotografico come pochi, una passione che dura da anni e che con grande costanza e dedizione ha conservato e valorizzato. Vittorio dà forza, dà carattere al passato, e i ricordi con lui riprendono vita e diventano attualissimi. Henri Cartier Bresson diceva che Fotografare è trattenere il respiro quando tutte le nostre facoltà convergono per captare la realtà fugace e che solo in quel momento l’immagine catturata diviene una grande gioia fisica e intellettuale. Vittorio ci riesce magistralmente da sempre. Ha colto la vita di tutti i giorni con grande competenza fotografica accompagnata sempre da una sensibilitá speciale e ci ha regalato preziosissime foto in bianco e nero che raccontano meravigliose, semplici storie di tempi passati. Ogni sua fotografia, anche a colori, é un' Opera d'arte dove emergono concentrazione, sensibilitá, senso geometrico ed estetico che fanno nascere in chi le guarda grande ammirazione e tante emozioni.

Molte cose si potrebbero dire a proposito di queste immagini antiche di Napoli, soprattutto per chi, come me, ricorda quelle atmosfere. Per farlo però bisognerebbe avere la verve letteraria di un La Capria. Mi limito a menzionare due fra tanti aspetti più schiettamente fotografici che giustificano uno studio attento di queste magnifiche immagini. Innanzitutto l'uso magistrale del formato quadrato che oggi, soprattutto dopo l'avvento delle macchine digitali, è praticamente scomparso, sopravvivendo solo come rifilatura, spesso maldestra, di altri formati. Agedsenator ci mostra quanto ricco e suggestivo possa essere uno sguardo in cui la centralità sia parte originaria del progetto di cattura dell'immagine. E poi, la dimostrazione chiara di come, nella maggior parte dei casi, il colore non aggiunga niente all'immagine, anzi distrae da ciò che in essa è realmente essenziale. Quindi, caro Agedsanator, che il suo scanner non conosca riposo.
