Sarah Khatri developed a passion for photography at a very early age. She saw life as the greatest work of art and felt the need to capture it through photography. While attending college at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. she spent time studying the great artists from the past such as Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Georgia O'Keeffe, and Henri Cartier Bresson in the National Gallery of Art.
Sarah’s work focuses on capturing that moment in time that tells a story. From the very large to the very small to the innocence of a child to the miracle of life. All provide opportunities to create art in its natural form. Initially she spent a great deal of time focusing on portrait photography. However, she has shifted her focus to fine art photography. She is currently working on an exhibition to be released later this year throughout India and selective cities throughout the world. Her new unique work once unveiled will captivate individuals of all audiences. The lines of reality will be blurred as she goes underwater to capture all the elegance and color that India has to offer.
While Sarah does have a passion for photography she also has a deep love for India. In 2009 she moved to India with her husband and three kids. Because of the abundant needs in India for the under privileged she is committed to donating 100% of the profits from Agape Fine Art to Clean Up India. Clean Up India is a non-profit organization which raises funds for charities across India.
In the words of Cartier Bresson, “Photography is the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event as well as of a precise organization of forms that give that event its proper expression. In photography, the smallest thing can be a great subject. The little human detail can become a leitmotif.”
