Always an artist of the revolution, I find my creative outlets in performance, street art, and collage. My performance work investigates feminist issues (abortion, sexuality, and reclaiming) through temporal actions, video montage, and public interaction. I create stickers, flyers, and fiber works as a method of reclaiming public surfaces from consumerism and imbuing them with beauty, softness, and levity. Utilizing personal as well as collective history, memory, and identity, my collage work is an investigation into alternative perceptions. I’m interested in altering pre-existing constructs and in making the unseen seen. My art is a constant struggle against the reality of a system that pretends, silences, and marginalizes.
