AFSCME Council 5 is a labor union representing more than 40,000 public-sector and nonprofit workers who provide the vital services that make Minnesota happen. We advocate for excellence in public services, dignity in the workplace, and opportunity and prosperity for all workers.

Our members work in state government; for counties, cities and school districts (primarily in the Twin Cities and Arrowhead); at University of Minnesota and MnSCU campuses; and in a variety of health-care and nonprofit settings.
