I am a hobbyist-photographer with minimal aspirations. Fortunately, I have had some great teachers...Craig Morse, John Curley, and several others. Photography is a creative and learning endeavor for me and the most difficult part is balancing what others will like with what I like. Right now I am going for the middle ground, but if I ever have a real following, then it will be TOTALLY what I like. Namely, rule-breaking kick-ass photos that look unrefined but actually hold together by deliberately breaking the rules. The other space that I am playing with is deliberately going above ISO 1600, which is a space that the pro's deliberately avoid for reasons of commercial non-viability of digital noise. I think that noise can add it's own atmosphere, but I am just as likely wrong.
Finally, I love comments and emails. They always appear just when I am feeling lame and stale and need that extra push to go out and really capture something.

That's how the light gets in.
