Steven and I became Flickr contacts some 20 months ago, and from the start I have always found his images to be creative, inspiring and beautifully composed. His landscape shots are breathtakingly beautiful and filled with amazing light, colors and details. He also has a wonderfully whimsical streak and includes a number of shots that make me smile and even laugh out loud. His recent shot of baseball caps on fence posts in a case in point! Steven shoots all year long, including right in the middle of the harsh winters of Alberta, Canada, so that should tell you something about his dedication and his passion. He is a faithful and insightful contact, and his comments always reveal his deep understanding of photography and encourage photographers like me to keep at it. Occasionally, his comments will help me appreciate some detail in my pictures of which I was not even aware! I feel a real bond with Steven, not just because of our common love for good photography, but also because my mother was born in Alberta many moons ago. Several years ago I visited the Canadian Rockies for a few days. Some day I hope to return for a more extended visit. Until then, Steven's pictures will inspire with their grace and beauty!

I think it’s almost 3 years ago I saw a picture of Steven for the first time. His photos are filled with lots of colors, he likes the light, especially sunrises or sunsets. The colors in his photographs are really beautiful! That appeals to me. And... he lives in a part of the world what I don’t know, a world where is space and nature. Completely different as mine. Each time he amazes me with his pictures, he knows how to capture this beautiful piece of nature, his country, his place. I realize that it's an amazingly scenic place with a great variety of landforms and vegetation, but I also know that It's only because of your eye and your skill that you capture it in such beautiful photos. Each new one is a very pleasant surprise, because you keep producing outstanding photos. If you ever considered publishing a book solely dedicated to Alberta, perhaps the subject of this message would make a suitable title. A book filled with a variety of the wonders of the province should sell well. Thank you for continuing to post such superb photos.
