Fibromyalgia and spine problems mean my brain and central nervous system do not function properly. I got the diagnosis in 2015, after 10 years of disabling chronic illness without any known reason. I had nearly lost my life, and it was a long and painful process to start recovering, so I threw myself into my photography. It is my art, my creative outlet, my therapy, my passion. It lifts me up and makes me feel good, and often gives me that spark of motivation that I need on the difficult days.
Photography has taught me that there is beauty to be found in even the darkest of times.
