You’ve stumbled into a strange corner of the web my friend. I’m Adrienne, and you guessed it, I like to cook, now. But oh no, that was not always the case. This Flikr stream is dedicated to my blog: adriennecooks.com

 

I’ve spent the better part of my life rebelling against anything remotely “heels & pearls” feminine – including cooking (and also the color pink). Precisely around the time I bought my first strand of pearls I found myself drawn to the kitchen. Cooking at home to save money became cooking at home because it tastes better and then evolved into “this recipe is boring, what if I did this?” That little this was amazing and I was hooked.

 

Take a ride with me through the kitchen where we’ll explore exotic Asian flavors, a plethora of noodles, a preponderance of confections, and a good ole’ dose of melt in your mouth red meat. I learn more every day and look forward to chasing down new flavors and sharing some old favorites.

 

You know the most important thing I’ve learned? Creating a meal for the purpose of pleasing people does not make you less. You don’t lose your identity behind an apron, you gain a skill.
