Hello,

I have been drawing and painting all of my life and studying it and various design fields more formally for over thirty years. Over my career so far I have worked in the fields of archaeological illustration, graphic design and town planning / urban design. I have studied graphic design, environmental planning and urban design at universities in Manchester and Liverpool and also fine art at private art schools specialising in traditional processes and media. I work directly from the subject whenever possible, mainly on portraits, figures, and urban landscapes.

I have regularly attended figure and portrait sessions for many years. People are the subject that I am most interested in but I intend to explore landscape and other subjects further.

Some of the photos that I initially posted here were of work I made some time ago. They were mainly made in various life drawing sessions and courses that I had attended. Subsequently, I have posted photos of new work as I have made it, partly to keep a record but mainly to share what I do with a wider community. I welcome any constructive comments that viewers wish to make.
