49 year old male who has taken up photography as a hobby in May 2013. Bought my first DSLR, a Nikon D3200 and joined a local photography group. I have started from scratch so have loads to learn but am enjoying my journey hugely.

The photography group favour landscape photography and living on the coast there are loads of opportunities.

Although still getting to grips with the basics of photography(this is being written in July 2013) I am trying to diversify my knowledge. I have started taking some long exposure shots with a 10 stop ND filter and also have a flash and a couple of remote triggers on the way from eBay.

I am currently shooting with the kit lens(18-55) and also have a 35mm prime lens. I intend to invest in a 70-300mm zoom further down the line.

I am so early into my photography journey that, as we speak, I don't have any favourite style or subject.

I am also using Lightroom for post processing, which I have never used before either so have a steep learning curve with that also.

I've been using YouTube and the Internet as much as possible to gain as much knowledge as I can and also have read a couple of books to try and better inform myself.
