My entry to photography was quite sudden. Being a nomad at heart, the journey towards the lens has been a diverse one. After the completion of compulsory schooling, I graduated with a degree in accountancy. But my interests were not just bound to calculations and numbers. I joined the famous Neenasam – a school of arts and theatre. Two years of physical and mental training in Neenasam transformed my thinking and the outlook towards life. During my days here, I got the opportunity to meet and interact with the veterans of theatre and literature. After returning to my place, I started farming with my father. In between all this, I developed an interest for poetry and pursued it as a past time. Many famous local Kannada magazines published a few of my writings as well.

My first stint with the camera was back in 2007. I wanted to capture the beauty surrounded me. between I live in a place which is full of thick forests and mountains of western ghats. Over the years my interest grew beyond mere recording the nature as it is and it has become a way of self expression and pursue artist’s desire in me.

As the saying goes, learning is the only constant and I am just doing that.
