I received my undergraduate degree at Stephen F. Austin, where I majored in art with an emphasis in graphic design and computers. I worked as a designer for several years at the Houston Chronicle, but never truly felt at home with my career. I decided to become a teacher because I felt called to that field. I am alternatively certified and have been teaching high school Art 1, Sculpture, and Ceramics for six years now. I love it. Changing my career to teaching was the best decision I have ever made...so naturally I want to know more. In the quest to become a better teacher, I applied at Texas Tech University for the Masters of Art Education program. My studio emphasis is in Ceramics and Photography.
