I begin with the natural textile. I'm loyal to the traditional ways in which it is worked through hand and machine stitching and embroidery, but I am also keen to explore its transformation through experimentation with other mediums and techniques.

I'm curious to see what happens when I integrate materials such as wax, bleach, natural dyes, glue, paper, wood, beads, etc., or if I employ techniques, such as needle punching, ripping, burning, etc. I naturally follow whatever and wherever the spontaneous process takes me, and the textile.

Hopefully the end result embodies the quiet energy felt in the silence and stillness of nature.
