Hi! :)
My name is Adam Tanagan Warne and this is my Flickr! Take a look around and leave comments if you wish.
I specialise in film, experimental and lo-fi photography but this wasn't always the case! My interest for photography grew in late 2009 when a friend of mine showed me her Canon EOS 450D (oh the memories). I instantly grew to love it. I found such a creative outlet when it came to photography (other than my main priority -- that being Music). For Christmas of that year, I received a Canon EOS 500D and my photography was allowed to really take off! I absolutely adored using it! I always experimented with it and taught myself how set all the settings and how to compose a picture. Soon enough, I began to teach myself different photography techniques and also began to get a good idea when it came to setting shutter speeds, apertures and ISO.
In April of 2010, I took my 500D with me on a holiday to Nice, France. Right towards the end of the holiday, it was unfortunately stolen. :( I had lost one of my most prized possessions. Gone just like that...
Two months later when the insurance went through, I was lucky enough to receive a 550D with the money. My photography life was once again back in full swing!
It wasn't until late 2010 that I began to take an interest in film photography. I had spotted different Lomographic Society cameras in Urban Outfitters. I was absolutely blown away by the photos that these cameras could produce.. The Diana F+, The Holga and the Fisheye cameras.
For awhile, I had contemplated purchasing one of these Lomography film cameras but I didn't really get around to it.
It was February of this year when I finally purchased my first film camera. The Lomographic Society's Diana F+ Blackjack. I also ordered a 35mm back for it as I wanted to keep things simple at first and because I could easily get them developed at the local lab. Also.. I didn't really want to venture into using 120 film just yet.
Ever since then, my love of film photography has grown and grown along with my love of vintage, old school cameras. This was down to my father handing down his Nikon EM. I really enjoyed taking photos with it!
Right now, my main film camera of choice would be the Canon AE-1. The rest of my collection of cameras can be seen here:
